Obituary, 1948 [2]
At WELLINGTON, Nov. 7. The death has occurred of Mr George Pellew Anderson, aged 65, who was prominently identified with New Zealand’s hydro-electric development. From 1924 to 1947, when Mr Anderson retired, he was employed on the head office staff of the Public Works Department in the design and investigation of hydro stations throughout the country, particularly in the investigational field. He was primarily responsible for the basic work done in connection with all power stations built since 1924 - Waitaki, the three Waikaremoana stations, Karapiro, and for Tekapo and Maraetai, still under construction.
